Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife TV, Universal Pictures, and Will Packer Productions are already collaborating to produce a movie on Hushpuppi. Ramon Abass, also known as Ray Hushpuppi.
This is coming after they received the adaptation rights for the movie based on a Bloomberg story, “The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master.”
The story of Hushpuppi written by Evan Ratiff, detailed how Hushpuppi carried out an internet scam and how he was caught by International police before extradition to United States of America.
According to The Hollywood Reporters, after Ebony Life studio and Universal Pictures got the adaptation right for the movie, an untitled action thriller movie project has now been set up at Universal Pictures.
“Further to the announcement just made about our partnership with Will Packer Productions and Universal Pictures, some of you might ask, why do we choose to tell a story like this?
Firstly, there are many lessons to be learnt from good and bad stories.
Secondly if we do not tell this story, someone else will and to ensure that this story is told with authenticity, a Nigerian storyteller with our pedigree needs to be involved,” MO Abudu wrote on her Instagram page.
