Popular Nigerian Instagram influencer, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi has made a u turn as he pleaded guilty to fraud charges filed against him by the United States government.
Recall that the Hushpuppi who is well known for his luxurious lifestyle on social media, was arrested in Dubai, the United Arab Emirate (UAE) in June 2020, and subsequently extradited to the U.S.
In a court documents signed by Hushpuppi, his lawyer, Louis Shapiro, and the Assistant United States Attorney, Anil Antony, on July 4, Hushpuppi pleaded guilty to the fraud charges and now risks 20-year jail term when declared guilty.
