‘My mum is in her 50s, how in God’s name will I be 46?’, actress Carolyn Hutchings
Nigerian actress, Carolyn Hutchings has taken to social media to reacts to reports trending on social media that she falsified her age.
The actress made this known to the public via her Instagram page on Monday, June 27th.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, the actress questioned why people we believe she is 46, when her mum is still in her 50s.
Carolyn Hutchings wrote, “Trilogy … this is my mum who is in her 50’s, so how in God’s name will I be 46 ???????? Am I reducing my age because? 1. I need a job in a company ?? I am the CEO of mine. 2. Reducing my age for Nollywood?? An actor can act both young and old roles, makeup can be applied.
“3. I am reducing my age because of school ?? I have enough certificates already. 4. Reducing my age because of a relationship ?? A good man will love his woman regardless of her age. 5. Reduce my age for your validation ?? I DONT GIVE 2 F’ssss about your sugar.
Just because you acted a movie with me does NOT mean we are the same age. 8.. you are asking for my birth certificate, have you seen your own mother and father’s birth certificate before ???”
“That it took you time to achieve something in your life does not mean I have to run your race, we have different glory and destiny.. that you started school late and failed entrance exam couple of times is none of my biz, we don’t have the same Iq.
“Stupid people saying they watched me as a kid. I was in the industry for ONLY 2 yrs before my marriage .. bomboclat can’t stand my glory.”
Speaking further, Carolyn Hutchings schooled fans on how Wiki is operated, saying information on Wikipedia can be edited by anyone.
“Are you aware wiki can be created and edited by ANYONE? And not everything on Google is a FACT ?? Even Christ was married on Google .. to the clowns talking unintelligently about my age, MIND YOUR BIZ THAT PAYS YOU .. any age, race, class can act a movie.”
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
