The Nigerian Ports Authority has revealed that Nigeria ports will be operated fully digital.
Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, NPA’s Acting Managing Director, made the announcement in a statement signed by Mr. Ibrahim Nasiru, NPA’s Assistant General Manager Corporate and Strategic Communications, on Saturday in Lagos.
During the presentation on the NPA’s ‘Digitalisation Roadmap and Current Information and Communications Technology Implementation Status,’ he added that intentional actions and investments are being made to build a fully digital ecosystem in all of the country’s ports by 2025.
According to the statement, the presentation took place in Douala, Cameroon, at the 41st Ports Management Association of West and Central Africa Annual Council Meeting and 16th Round-table Conference of PMAWCA Managing Directors.
Bello-Koko told the delegates that the authority’s smart port transformation strategy, which aims to establish paperless, time-saving, and cost-effective port operations, had taken a lot of work.
