Non-teaching staff in Nigerian public universities will commence a nationwide strike from February 15, 2021 over the Federal Government’s handling of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System(IPPIS).

The workers are also against the sharing formula of the N40 billion earned academic allowances and non-payment of arrears of the new minimum wage.

JAC affiliate unions are the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) had last week held a three-day demostration over the government’s failure to respect the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with them on October 20.
