Jose Peseiro’s side trounced Sao Tome thanks to four goals from Osimhen, a brace from Terem Moffi, and goals from Moses Simon, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ademola Lookman, and Emmanuel Dennis.

Osimhen’s four goals against Sao Tome were his 15th and 22nd for the Super Eagles in 22 games.

The goal puts the Napoli forward ahead of Kanu (12 goals), Amokachi (13 goals), and Okocha (14 goals) on Nigeria’s all-time scoring list.

Odion Ighalo is now only a goal behind Osimhen (16).

The Napoli striker is still a long way from matching the 37 goals scored by the Super Eagles’ late Rashidi Yekini.
