Police arrests innocent herdsmen – Miyetti
<h4><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: var(--c-contrast-800);">Miyetti Allah Kautal, an umbrella body of Nigerian herdsmen had alleged that along Abuja-Kaduna expressway, police are arresting innocent herdsmen and portraying them as kidnappers and making them pay bails of huge amount.</span></h4>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Saleh Alhassan, National secretary of the group writes down a statement titled &#8220;Arbitrary arrest and criminal extortion of Fulani herders&#8221; on Friday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">In the statement, Miyetti revealed that they have already informed the police about the growing hatred, stereotyping and prejudices against our herders and Fulani ethnic group in the country.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">He added that it is also necessary to let the world know about the bad treatment of Fulani and herders in the country.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">He alleged that mens of the police force at Katari Police Station, situated along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway give out bail to highest bidder despite being stated free.</span></p>
