The Lagos State Criminal Inquiry Department’s Homicide Section, Police begins investigation over Sylvester’s death, a 12-year-old student at Dowen College in Lagos.
This was revealed in a statement dated December 4, which was intended to be the deceased’s 12th birthday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, issued a statement headed “Investigation Into The Death Of Sylvester Oromoni Of Dowen College, Lekki, Ongoing.”
The state CID has taken over the case, according to the police statement.
‘The Command wishes to inform the public that, despite the fact that no formal report of the incident was made to the police, the Commissioner of Police, upon hearing about it, immediately directed the Divisional Police Officer, Maroko Division, under whose jurisdiction the incident occurred, to immediately visit the school to conduct an initial investigation into the incident,’ according to the statement.
