Popular “The Wire” actor, Michael Kenneth Williams dies at the age of 54 (Fifty four) from a suspected drug overdose. He was found dead in New York apartment yesterday. The New York police department confirmed that the actor was found dead on Monday at 2pm.
Michael Kenneth Williams was an American actor, who rose to fame in 2002 with his iconic role in ” The Wire” as Omar Little. ” Omar is a dark skinned outspoken man in the hood who didn’t care what anyone thought of him” William told the New York Times in 2017 ” He is everything I wished I could be”

Michael was born in Brooklyn. On his 25th birthday Michael got knifed when he tried to intervene in a fight outside the bar and he ended up with a lace scar across his face. He got his first film role as Tupac Shakur’s brother in 1996 film “Bullet”
