President Buhari departs Abuja for Turkey
<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt;">President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday departed Abuja for Istanbul, Turkey, to attend the third Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit.</span></h4>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">This was made known to the public by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement released on Thursday.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">According to the organizers, the conference titled &#8216;Enhanced Partnership for Common Development and Prosperity,&#8217; will examine African-Turkish collaboration since the last summit in 2014.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">&#8220;The third Turkey-Africa Partnership Summit follows President Erdogan&#8217;s recent State Visit to Nigeria, during which many agreements in the domains of energy, defense industry, mining, and hydrocarbons were made to deepen existing bilateral connections,&#8221; Shehu added.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He explained Buhari is expected back in Abuja on Sunday, December 19.</span></p>
