President Buhari unveils the digital currency, eNaira
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">President Muhammadu Buhari has on Monday finally unveiled the country’s digital currency, eNaira at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Recall that the apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria had earlier announced October 1st as the official date for the launch. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Unfortunately, it was shifted till further notice due to some activities on Independence day.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">During the launch of eNaira, the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osibanjo, CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, and others were present.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Also, Godwin Emefiele assured Nigerian that the eNaira, like the physical Naira will be accessible to all, including those living in the rural areas.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He noted that the launch of the digital currency is a major step forward in the evolution of money, adding that it will make financial transactions easier.</span></p>
