Reactions as Davido’s ‘E choke’ becomes an emoji on Twitter
<p>Nigerian singer, <strong>David Adeleke</strong> popularly known as <strong>Davido</strong> has taken to his Twitter page to announce that is slang &#8216;<strong>E Choke</strong>&#8216; is now an <strong>emoji</strong> on the platform.</p>
<p>The father of three shared a sample of the emoji via his tweet today, Wednesday.</p>

<p><strong>E Choke</strong> which means it chokes for something overwhelming or extremely impressive, is a popular and currently trending street slang that was started by famous Nigerian singer, <strong>Davido</strong>.</p>
<p>Nigerian tweeps took to Twitter to also comment on Twitter CEO recognizing the popular slang, E Choke.</p>
<p>A tweep, @DanielRegha wrote: &#8220;&#8221;E choke&#8221; means strangulati¤n or suffocati¤n so it promotes negativ!ty; The fact a lot of people applaud the slang d¤esn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s right. Words hold incredible power both positively &; negatively so one should be mindful what he or she says cos words shapes one&#8217;s reality&#8230;?.&#8221;</p>
