SSANU demands for new minimum wage, threatens another strike action

<p><strong>The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities has given Federal government a December ultimatum to implement the new minimum wage.</strong></p>
<p>The union called on Nigerian government to release funds to clear the backlog of new minimum wage arrears due to their members.</p>
<p>The call for implentation of the minimum wage was made by the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities President, Mohammed Ibrahim on Tuesday, December 22nd in Yola.</p>
<p>Speaking further, he warned that another strike action by the union would be inevitable even if ASUU suspend their 10 month old strike.</p>

<h3>ASUU hints Nigerian students time of resumption</h3>
<p>The Academic Staff Union of Universities has on Tuesday, December 22nd, announced to Nigerian students the time universities will reopen nationwide.</p>
<p>In a tweet, sighted by the <strong>thedailypage.ng</strong>, the union hinted that strike will be suspended soon as federal government begins the payment of their withheld salaries since March.</p>
<p>The union, therefore, tagged their tweet as good news.</p>
