Following the release of the movie, Oko Iyabo, the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association (TAMPAN) has suspended popular Yomi Fabiyi.
The body made the announcement in a statement on Friday titled, ‘TAMPAN suspends Yomi Fabiyi indefinitely for gross professional misconducts & unethical practices’ on Friday.
According to the statement released, the body said found Yomi Fabiyi and his Co director, Dele Matti guilty of misconduct and unethical practices.
Also, TAMPAN condemned Yomi Fabiyi for using of the real names of the people whose story the movie was based on.
However, Yomi Fabiyi insisted that he has the right to use his creative talent to produce films that give his opinion of trending issues.
Meanwhile, his Co director regretted working to Yomi Fabiyi on the movie project. After showing his remorsefulness, the body issued him 3 months suspension.
