<h4><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">Prince Ned Nwoko&comma; a former member of the House of Representatives&comma; has denied any involvement in the arrest of Abubakar Marshal&comma; a lawyer for Sahara Reporters publisher Omoyele Sowore&period;<&sol;span><&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><img class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20288" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;thedailypage&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2022&sol;03&sol;images-55&period;jpeg" alt&equals;"" width&equals;"598" height&equals;"513" &sol;><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">In a statement issued by his lawyer&comma; Bryan Ukaegbu&comma; the billionaire stated that Marshal was not also arrested by the police in Abuja for filing a case against him in court&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">Previously&comma; Sowore claimed that Nwoko assisted in Marshal&&num;8217&semi;s arrest on Friday in Abuja&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">However&comma; the former lawmaker&&num;8217&semi;s lawyer stated that Marshall acted as a surety for Sowore after he was granted administrative bail with the promise to appear in court on February 25 but failed to do so&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">According to the news gathered by newsmen&comma; Sowore&comma; the publisher of Sahara Reporters&comma; was arrested on February 24th&comma; 2022&comma; following a criminal defamation&comma; injurious falsehood&comma; and publication of news known to be false petition filed against him&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">His arrest was the result of a petition filed by Nwoko&&num;8217&semi;s lawyers&comma; Trifold Law &amp&semi; Partners&comma; against the Sahara Reporters Foundation&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">To begin with&comma; Mr Omoyele Sowore was invited by the office of the Inspector General of Police to respond to a Petition written by the Solicitors to Hon&period; Prince Ned Nwoko&comma; the law firm of TRIFOLD LAW AND PARTNERS&comma; according to the statement&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><span style&equals;"font-size&colon; 14pt&semi;">The petition amounted to criminal acts of character defamation&comma; injurious falsehood&comma; criminal intimidation&comma; cyberstalking&comma; and the likes against Hon Prince Dr&period; Ned Munir Nwoko&comma; with the goal of smearing his name and tarnishing his reputation in violation of the Penal Code and the Federal Republic of Nigeria&&num;8217&semi;s Constitution as amended&period;<&sol;span><&sol;p>&NewLine;
