TikTok bans viral ‘milk crate’ challenge on its platform
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt">Popular social media platform, TikTok owned by Chinese company ByteDance has banned the &#8221; milk crate&#8221; challenge because so many people were getting hurt. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt">Recently, viral videos of people stacking milk crates in a pyramid and trying to climb them like stairs were all over TikTok and now has been banned by the app that gave life to it. TikTok has also deleted search results for the hashtag.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt">TikTok explains that the &#8216;milk crate&#8217; challenge was communicating dangerous activities, as many who tried the challenge were falling down from the crates. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt">According to the spokesperson for TikTok:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt">&#8220;TikTok prohibits contents that promotes or glorifies dangerous acts, and we remove videos and redirect searches to our Community Guidelines to discourage such content&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt">&#8220;We encourage everyone to exercise caution in their behavior whether online or off.&#8221;</span></p>
