According to him, the house erected at Plot 25, Ayo Adebanjo Close, Off Adebayo Doherty Street, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos State, was not financed by Tinubu.

Chief Bisi Akande, a former Interim Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, said in his book, ‘My Participations,’ that Adebanjo pestered Bola Tinubu to build the Lekki property for him.

Adebanjo, on the other hand, rejected the accusation in a press release issued on Thursday, labeling Akande a “fool.”

The Afenifere leader claimed to have sold houses and land in order to build his Lekki mansion.

He also mentioned that he borrowed money from a bank to finish the residence.

Adebanjo stated during his narrative of how the properties were sold that one of the lands sold was handed to him by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

He explained that Tinubu did not finance his Lekki home; rather, Adebanjo claimed Tinubu did.
