A portion of a statement read: “It is alleged that the behaviour of both managers was improper following the end of the fixture.

“Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte have until Thursday 18 August 2022 to provide their respective responses.”

On Sunday, the two managers argued after Spurs twice overcame deficits to earn a point’s split.

Just prior to Spurs’ first equalizer, Tuchel signaled a foul on Kai Havertz and an offside on the goal, with Richarlison appearing to obstruct Edouard Mendy’s field of vision.

He and Conte got into an argument over his protest, and both coaches received a yellow card.

When the game was over, Conte and Tuchel went to shake hands, but the Chelsea manager wouldn’t let go of his opponent’s hand and gestured for him to stare into his eyes, which led to another brawl and the giving of both managers their marching orders.
