Twitter announces its African headquarters now in Ghana
<h3>The management of the Twitter has announced its African Headquarters will be opened in Ghana.</h3>
<p>This was disclosed by Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on Monday, April 12.</p>
<p>“<em>Twitter is now present on the continent. Thank you Ghana and Nana Akufo-Addo,” he tweeted. </em></p>
<p>Reacting to the new development, the president of Ghana said his country is ready to part with Twitter, adding that it is Ghana&#8217;s hugely important tech sector.</p>

<p>He added that he met with Jack virtually on April 7th, where the two parties agreed on the partnership.</p>

<p>Giving reasons why the company chose Ghana, Twitter said in a statement, Ghana is a supporter of free speech, online freedom and open freedom of which the company is also an advocate.</p>
<p><em>“As a champion for democracy, Ghana is a supporter of free speech, online freedom, and the Open Internet, of which Twitter is also an advocate. Furthermore, Ghana’s recent appointment to host The Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area aligns with our overarching goal to establish a presence in the region that will support our efforts to improve and tailor our service across Africa.&#8221;</em></p>
