Ugandan singer turned politican, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamo popularly known as Bobi Wine is currently running for the president of Uganda.
In June 2019, Bobi Wine made his intention to run for the office of President known to the world.
Bobi Wine had been a vocal Challenger to end dictatorship in Uganda.
He decided to unite Uganda and end the Reign of President Yoweri Museveni who has been ruling the country for over 30 years.
Who is Bobi Wine?
Bobi Wine whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu was born on 12th of February, 1982.
He is a singer, actor, politican and business man.
He obtained his Uganda certificate of Education from Kitante Hill School.
He went to Kololo Senior Secondary School for his secondary school education.
Bobi Wine went to Makerere University in Kampala to study music.
He joined the music industry in early 2000’s. He has released many songs including Akagoma, Sunday, Funtula and others.
His song Kiwani which was released in 2016 was featured on the sound track for the Disney movie, Queen of Later.
As a actor, he starred in many local Uganda movies.
Bobi Wine is happily married to Barbie Hunjo Kyagulanyi.
And their marriage is blessed with four children.
What is Bobi Wine’s plan for Uganda?
Bobi wine plans to give Uganda freedom as he hope to change that by unseating long serving president Yoweri Museveni in January 14th, 2021, Thursday’s vote.
Uganda people are worried why 35 years in power is not enough for President Yoweri Museveni.
