United States District Court for the Central District of California. has postponed the sentencing of Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi till July 11, 2022.
It was learned that Hushpuppi’s lawyers led by Louis Shapiro requested for postponement and Justice Otis D. Wright granted the order. However, Hushpuppi is expected to remain in custody in the intervening period of the delay.
The Daily Page recalls that the US court had fixed February 14 as the date for Hushpuppi’s sentencing for involving himself in money laundering and online fraud.
If convicted, Hushuppi will face up to 20 years in prison at sentencing.; a 3-year period of supervised release; a fine of $500,000 or twice the gross gain or gross loss resulting from the offense.
