Why my daughter, Eyiyemi acted in Anikulapo – Kunle Afolayan
<p>Nigerian movie producer, <a href="https://thedailypage.ng/kunle-afolayan-celebrates-his-daughter-as-she-clocks-17/">Kunle Afolayan</a>, has given the reason why his daughter, Eyiyemi Afolayan, acted in his recent release, Anikulapo.</p>

<p>He made this known to the public via his <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cj40NvuKn9t/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=">Instagram page</a> on Wednesday where he posted a short video clip of his daughter and himself.</p>
<p>It is no longer a news to us that that Eyiyemi who is Kunle Afolayan’s first child, made her debut appearance as an actor on the set of Anikulapo.</p>
<p>According to him, he casted his daughter for the role of Princess Omowunmi because it required somebody beautiful and his daughter is definitely beautiful.</p>
<p>Speaking further on why Eyiyemi acted in Anikulapo, he said that his daughter marched all the requirements needed for the role.</p>
<p>He added that she is also a good singer as well as a natural at acting.</p>
<p>He said, &#8220;If you want to portray the role of a princess, I think there is no giving that the person has to be beautiful and she is beautiful.</p>
<p>“It felt good because I did not have to pay her, even though I was paying her directly or indirectly.”</p>
<p>When asked about her role as Princess Omowunmi in the movie.</p>
<p>Eyiyemi said, “Omowunmi is very foolish because Saro never proposed love to her.</p>
<p>&#8220;but she already started having ideas in her head. She is beautiful no doubt, but also gullible.”</p>
<h4>Kunle Afolayan expresses excitement on his latest movie</h4>
<p>On the 17th of October, Oscar committee gave the movie, ‘Anikulapo’ a week deadline extension to re-vote and present a film for Nigeria at the next award ceremony.</p>
<p>Speaking on the new development, he wrote, “It’s just been confirmed that The academy “OSCARS” have given the Nigerian Oscars selection committee a week extension to revote and re-present a film to represent Nigeria by October 21st latest.”</p>
<p>Recall that Kunle Afolayan’s blockbuster was ranked number one by Netflix in its weekly global chart for the most-viewed non-English Netflix original movie between October 3 and October 9, 2022, with 8,730,000 viewed hours.</p>
