Wizkid, Davido, others react to gunmen invading church, killing worshippers during service
Nigerian celebrities including Wizkid, Davido have reacted to the report of gunmen invading church and killing its worshippers during service.
The Daily Page learnt that unknown gunmen invaded St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, headquaters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, leaving over 28 members of the congregation dead.
Reacting to the report, Nigerian celebrities took to the their respective social media page to condemn the attack on church worshippers.
Wizkid shared a emoji of heartbreak with Nigerian flag.
Davido wrote on his Twitter page, “Jesus take control …. Pray for Nigeria Rip to all the lost souls.”
Mr Macaroni wrote, “Nigerians are getting killed and the so called Leaders are doing absolutely nothing about it!!! What’s the solution to this madness??? Because we don’t know who is next tomorrow!!! Nobody is safe!!!! Nobody!!.”
Toyin Lawani wrote, “We never thought we would see a Sunday where Christians will Thank God they didn’t attend church today. Such a sad day. Let us all pray for a safer Nigeria.”
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
Sharing the video, Kanayo expressed his happiness for Okocha in his post, celebrating the groom-to-be. see his response below:
