Shutting down the school isn’t enough – Actor Kanayo
Nigerian actor, Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, professionally called Kanayo O. Kanayo has stated that shutting down Dowen college is not enough as justice for Sylvester who died after being tortured for refusing to join a cult group.
The 59 years old lawyer and actor took to his Instagram page where he called on the Lagos state government to ensure that the case is not swept under the rug.
He said on his Instagram page, “Dowen Must pay, This could be your son, Shutting down the school is not enough, we need to ensure that this case is not swept under the rug.”
On the 3rd of December, Lagos State Government shut down Dowen college after the death of a student, Sylvester Oromoni Jnr, who was bullied by schoolmates for refusing to join a cult group.
Black liquid found in Sylvester’s stomach during the autopsy
In a recent interview streamed on Facebook with The PUNCH, the father of the deceased student of Dowen College in Lekki, Lagos, has revealed that a black liquid was found in his son’s stomach during the autopsy.
During the interview, the father remembered his son’s dream of wanting to be a pilot, adding that his son would always dress like a pilot during the school’s career day.
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
