The Red Devils’ chances of qualifying for the Champions League are currently in jeopardy, with West Ham, Arsenal, Wolves, and Tottenham all vying for a top-four spot in the Premier League.

Rangnick was reported by MEN as saying at his post-match news conference after Man United’s Premier League 1-1 tie with Southampton over the weekend, “It has always been a concern since Solskjaer left the club.”

He further stated that it was certainly one of the reasons Ole Solskjaer had to leave the club, and of course, outcomes like the Southampton match don’t help matters.

He made his frustration known recalling their last few matches where Man Utd were one or two goals up against Villa, Burnley, and Southampton, and ended up giving up two points.

“This can happen once, but not three times, and the situation would be different if those points were present, but they are not. This is the situation we find ourselves in.”
