Thomas Muller, a striker for Bayern Munich, has entered the never-ending argument over Lionel Messi of Paris Saint-Germain and Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United as the superior player.
When asked to select between Messi and Ronaldo, Muller revealed to ESPN that he preferred Ronaldo.
“I go for Ronaldo, against Messi, I have good statistics, against Ronaldo; not that good,” Muller international said.
In the 2020 Champions League, the German International was a member of the Bayern Munich team that beat a Messi-led Barcelona 8-2.
Messi and Ronaldo, meanwhile, are regarded as two of the best five footballers in history.
In the last 15 years, the pair have won 12 Ballon d’Or honors between them.
The German International who has recorded successes against Barcelona faces Barca again on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
