Actress Funke Akindele celebrates her 44th birthday in style
Nollywood actress, and philanthropist, Funke Akindele has taken to social media to celebrate her 44th birthday.
The mother of twins took to her Instagram page where she shared stunning photos of herself.
“+1 ??? All glory be to God!!!,” Funke Akindele captioned the photos as she wished herself a happy birthday.
Her husband, JJC Skillz also celebrated her birthday on social media. Sharing a video of his beautiful wife, he wrote, “Happy birthday to the love of my life @funkejenifaakindele May God continue to protect and inspire you. Your joy is everlasting. Your children will be a blessing to their generation. I love you ? Hip Hip Hooray.”

Funke Akindele who was born on August 24th, 1977, is known for her lead character role in the movie Jenifa’s Diary.
She was born in Ikorodu, Lagos State, to Nigerian father who is a retired principal and Nigerian mum who is a medical doctor.
The actress went to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where she obtained her ordinary National Diploma in Mass Communication. She is also a lawyer by profession.
In 2013, Funke Akindele ended her first marriage with Adeola Kehinde Oloyede over irreconcilable differences.
Funke Akindele, in an exclusive interview with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo, encouraged ladies out there that they should not rush to get married.
She added that she rushed into the marriage out of pressure and it didn’t end well. She, therefore, advised ladies to take time in selecting their partner.
Fast forward to 2016, she got married Nigerian rapper JJC Skillz in London. And their marriage is blessed with twin boys welcomed in December 2018.
Meanwhile, the couple celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary on Monday as they wish each other well on social media.

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
Sharing the video, Kanayo expressed his happiness for Okocha in his post, celebrating the groom-to-be. see his response below:
