Dr Adaora Umeoji, OON has officially assumed office as the first female Zenith Bank CEO after successful approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). She took over from Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, whose five-year term expires on May 31, 2024.
This announcement was made across the official social media handles of Zenith Bank. The statement reads, “Today, June 1st, 2024, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji OON assumes office as the first female Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank PLC.”
THE DAILY PAGE recalls that Adaora who now has 35 years of experience in the banking sector, joined Zenith Bank as a youth corps member in 1998.
