American singer, Rihanna has finally met Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems at the SavageXfenty show in Los Angeles. In the video shared by Tems manager, Muyiwa Awoniyi, Rihanna was heard screaming ‘Oh my God.’ Also, Tems took to her Instagram page to share the video with the caption “A moment to remember” posted by her manager on her Instagram story. The Kano Film Censorship Board has banned showing or selling of movies that display kidnappings, drug use and addiction and also the stealing of phones in the state. This was made known to the public by Ismaila Naaba Afakallah, the Board Executive Secretary, explaining that the prohibition was necessary because the above mentioned issues were becoming infamous among the citizens. French professional football player, Jean- Pierre Adams has died. From March 1982 to his death on the 6th of September 2021, he was in a coma. It was learnt that Jean-Pierre Adams had a ligament rupture injury, and was hospitalised for surgery on the 17th of March 1982 at Édouard Herriot Hospital in Lyon. He suffered a bronchospasm which starved his brain of oxygen and slipped into a coma as a result of the mistake made by his anesthesiologist. The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC has requested all telecommunication companies in Nigeria to discontinue their services in Zamfara state for two weeks. NCC claims that this request was made because of the persisting insecurity in the state. In a leaked memo addressed to one of the telecommunication operators, the order was given by Prof. Umar G. The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified a new variant of the COVID-19 virus and have labelled the “Mu”. The Health agency also claimed that these new variants may be immune to the COVID-19 vaccines. The World Health Organisation’s report read ” Based on the latest round of assessment, B.1.621 was classified as VOI on 30 August 2021and given the WHO label “Mu” This include the descendant pango lineage B.1.621.1.
