The former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu has been announced the winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary elections.
This was made known to the public at the APC National convention in Abuja.
The Asiwaju of Lagos garnered half of the total votes from about 2,322 delegates across the country who had stormed Eagles Square, Abuja, to elect the flagbearer of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections
Bola Tinubu beat his major opponents, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi to clinch the APC Presidential ticket.
Tinubu got 1,299 votes, the former Governor of Rivers State secured 292 and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo secured 216 votes.
