Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan has set a new record as she won the gold in the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2022 Commonwealth Games (CWG) in Birmingham, the United Kingdom.
The 25-year-old clocked 12.30 seconds to set a new games record.
This is coming two weeks after she became the first Nigerian athlete to win a World Athletics Championship gold in the women’s 100m hurdles in Oregon, United States of America.
She set a new world record it a time of 12.12 seconds.
Analyst for Fox Sports 1 said, “New WORLD RECORD in the 110mh by Nigerian hurdler, Tobi Amusan in a time of 12.12.
“She SMASHED the old world record of 12.20! I’m literally in shock. I see you my SISTA!!!!”
