The British government has declared to support Nigeria in her fight against deforestation and other activities in the agricultural sector in the country.
This was made known to the public by the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, during a familiarization visit to Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc in Edo State’s Ovia South-West Local Government Area.
She stated that the British government is assisting the Nigerian government in developing sustainable land principles to make agriculture viable.
While noting that the British government has been providing financing to develop the forest and agricultural for the past five years.
The British government also pledged to help small farmers and small enterprises in the agricultural industry.
