    Police arrests innocent herdsmen – Miyetti

    Miyetti Allah Kautal, an umbrella body of Nigerian herdsmen had alleged that along Abuja-Kaduna expressway, police are arresting innocent herdsmen and portraying them as kidnappers and making them pay bails of huge amount.

    Saleh Alhassan, National secretary of the group writes down a statement titled “Arbitrary arrest and criminal extortion of Fulani herders” on Friday.

    In the statement, Miyetti revealed that they have already informed the police about the growing hatred, stereotyping and prejudices against our herders and Fulani ethnic group in the country.

    He added that it is also necessary to let the world know about the bad treatment of Fulani and herders in the country.

    He alleged that mens of the police force at Katari Police Station, situated along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway give out bail to highest bidder despite being stated free.
