Nigerian singer, Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly known as Ckay, has received a Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA, Platinum certification for his hit song Love Nwantiti.
This was made known to the public by the singer via his Instagram page on Friday.
Announcing his achievement on his Instagram page story, he wrote, “Burst my brain! My first platinum record in the US! Thank you for the love.” See his post below…
This is the first-ever song to be sold over 1 million copies in the United States of America. In 2019, Ckay released his single, Love Nwantiti which became an international hit, charting across Europe, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand through the help of TikTok.
