Ebuka celebrates 15 years of hosting TV shows

The 39 years old media personality took to his Instagram page where he shared throwback photos of the TV shows he is hosting.

According to him, “Friend or Foe on NTA Network, which started in November 2006 was the first show he hosted.

Since he started his career as TV host, Ebuka has co-host 12 other TV shows.

“It’s exactly FIFTEEN YEARS since I hosted my very first show on television. 15!!! And I’ve gone on to (co)host about 12 other TV shows since then ,” he captioned the photos.

How it’s currently going:
1) Big Brother Naija on @dstvnigeria

Big Brother Naija which started in 2006 is currently hosted by Ebuka Obi Uchendu who was once an housemate of the show.

2) The Blackbox on @bounce.networks

The Black Box Interviews is hosted by Ebuka on Bounce Radio. So far the show interviewed musical star, Davido on September 30th, 2020, Tiwa Savage on November 2nd, 2020, Falz on December 25th 2020, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on January 1st, 2021 and Flavor N’abania on February 14th, 2021.

3) Rubbin’ Minds on @channelstelevision

It is a popular talk show hosted by Ebuka and showing on Channels TV. The show reflects on the issues and ideas trending for young Africans in the moment.

4) Judging Matters on @africamagic

How it started:
5) Friend Or Foe on @ntanetwork (November 2006)

It is a reality TV show which is sponsored by Guinness.

The show tasks contestants on English, Fitness and others. For instance, the contestants are asked to pick a foe for a task which Ebuka chooses.

If the contestants is successful, he or she gets to pick his or her foe out.

When the last man stands out, the failed contestants battle against the last man in the quest for N500,000. 

He or she is told to pick the weakest members of the opposition to answer questions in the areas of Government, Sports, and Fashion.

As expected, the show is full of intrigues and suspense.

Davido says he is Igbo by tribe

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.

The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”

Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”

I Told Jarvis to Reject ₦3 Billion Netflix Role Over Kissing Scene – Peller Claims

Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.

Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.

Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”

Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”

Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”

Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Actor Charles Okocha visit Kanayo

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.

Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
