Mr. Olasupo Shasore, SAN, a former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Lagos State, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Olasupo is being questioned by EFCC agents about his involvement in the Process & Industrial Development scam.
He had previously been questioned by the anti-agency about the allegations leveled against him.
According to a reliable source, the senior lawyer arrived at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja on the 18th of January, 2022, and was interrogated for several hours.
Despite receiving a $2 million professional fee from the Federal Government, Shasore was accused of botching the case filed against P&ID in London.
According to reports, he was appointed as counsel for Nigeria in the arbitration that resulted in the legal squabble due to his legal expertise and position as a former president of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.
Shasore was reportedly paid $2 million to assist in the first and second stages of the arbitration.
