Wale Edun, the minister of finance has presented the new minimum wage template to President Tinubu as he proposed N105000, meeting the 48-hour deadline.
This was contained in a report exclusively reported by a credible source, WESTERN POST, stating that Tinubu is currently reviewing the proposal of a new minimum wage of N105,000 (approximately $220 USD) per month for Nigerian workers, and an official announcement would be made soon.
THE DAILY PAGE recalls that the organized labor, NLC, and TUC grounded most economic activities recently including the closure of the International airports, schools, courts, banks, and hospitals on Monday as part of measures to force the Nigerian government to meet their demand of increasing the minimum wage.
However, the leadership of the organized labor called off the strike for five days, according to Premium Times Newspaper.
