Google has deleted Adamu Garba’s app, Crowwe application from its play store.
The Crowwe app, an instant messaging and financial transaction app was created by Former Nigeria presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba.
Tweeps on micro-blogging platform have reviewed the app, Crowwe after Adamu Garba introduced it to Nigerians as alternative following Twitter ban.
“Join Crowwe now! Build your country, Build your people and Build your Brand. Join Crowwe now.
“This is the best opportunity to grow Nigeria to Build Nigeria, Crowwe to the World,” he tweeted.
Some Nigerians criticised the Crowwe application for its privacy policy violation.
“Check the Crowwe app’s terms and conditions. It’s the SAME thing as Spotify. They didn’t even bother editing. Like if you click on the hyperlink it redirects you to Spotify theft. What sort of pangolo app is that?,” the reviewer wrote.
Also, a post by Dubawa, a fact-checking platform, verified the reviewers claim to be true.
After so much bad reviews entry on the app, Google has finally takedown the app on the play store app.
This is a developing story, it will be updated.
