Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State has reacted to report of Oluwabamise Toyosi Ayanwole, being killed after she boarded a BRT bus.
It was learned that Bamise, 22, boarded the state-owned bus, BRT, on Feb. 26 while on her way home from work.
After she boarded the BRT, she became after the driver didn’t carry any other passengers from next bus stops.
For this reason, she had to reach out to a friend via voice note, complaining that she felt uneasy about being in the bus admist 3 men and a woman.
She also asked her friend to assist her in prayers during the trip from Lekki to Oshodi.
Unfortunately, that was the last her family heard from her.
Afterwards, her family members went to a BRT bus park to search for the bus she made the video from and created a scene at the park.
And the deceased body was found being mutilated, with some of her parts missing.
Meanwhile, the driver of the BRT was later tracked down and arrested by security operatives.
Speaking with TV News, he said that he picked up Bamise and some other men who then pointed a gun at him and asked him to stop at Carter Bridge and they dragged Bamise out with them.
He added that he was too afraid to act when they were attacked.
Reacting to the incident, The Lagos State Governor condoled with the family of the deceased and promised the family that justice will be served.
