Halloween: Africans should embrace their own culture – MC Fish

Fisayo Michael, a Nigerian hype man popularly known as MC Fish and husband to popular Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph, has called on Africans to embrace their own culture.

The 28 years old hypeman took to his Instagram page where he reacted to how Nigerians celebrated the Halloween day.

MC Fish wrote, “Funny how we celebrate Halloween here and we don’t usually celebrate some of our own cultural festivals only a few celebrate these festivals because of how they are still linked to their culture.

We as Africans should do more to embrace our heritage and our culture cause even the white man sef know say Africa get some unknown powers and they have been trying to understand and harness this power for ages.

Bottom line is be proud to be African all round not just shouting Africa to the world and u know even know ur hometown a word is enough for the wise.

My costume tonight represents how I feel Halloween should be celebrated with the inclusion of the African flavor.”

Davido Reveals He’s Igbo By Blood

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.

The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”

Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”

Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.

Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.

Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”

Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”

Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”

Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.

Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
