10 missionary schools that were shutdown by the kwara state government over the recent hijab controversy, are to resume on Monday, April 12, 2021, for the 2020/2021 third term academic session.
This was disclosed by states Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs Mary Kemi Adeosun, in a statement released on Sunday.
The statement reads in part below…
“This is part of the state government’s efforts to bring the students up to speed in whatever they may have missed when their schools were shut.
“This is especially necessary for students preparing for external examinations.”
The state government also asked teachers to resume activities with immediate effect.
