Mother, four children burnt to death in ilorin
Tragedy at Ilorin as fire burnt a mother, named Titilayo Adigun, and her four children to death on Wednesday night, March 17, in Ilorin, Kwara state.
As per media reports, her fifth child survived the inferno at Ifesowapo community, behind “F” Division police station Tanke, Ilorin.
It was gathered that the fire was caused by a candlelight that later resulted into flames, following days of power outage.
At the time of the inferno, it was the father of the house was not around.
As of time of filing this report, the only surviving child is said to be receiving medical attention at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH).

Gunmen kidnap Benue varsity students
Suspected Gunmen have invaded and kidnapped some students of Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi on Monday, April 26th, 2021.
This is coming after Gunmen killed three students of Greenfield University, Kaduna state government confirmed on Friday.
Confirming the abduction of Benue varsity students, the university’s spokesperson Rosemary Waku said in a statement that reads below:
“The University has reported the incident to the police and all relevant security agencies.
“The University has not heard anything from the students or their captors since the unfortunate incidence took place.”

Gunmen kill police officers attached to ex-CBN gov, abduct commissioner
Some unknown gunmen have killed three police officer attached to ex Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, in his home town.
The Daily Page learnt that incident occurred at a rally organised by Mr Soludo at Isuofia community in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Police rescues children abused by suspected female ritualists who own a ministry

Operatives of Anambra state police attached to 3-3 Police Station Nkwelle have rescued 3 children battered beyond recognition from a room filled with fetish items where they were held hostage in Anambra state.
As per media reports, the police arrested 2 women identified as Rejoice Raymond, 39, and Chidi Felicia Nwafor, 80, who held the children hostage at NO.13 Akunwanta Mbamalu Street, Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Nkwelle Ezunaka, Anambra state.
It was gathered that the 3 children (2 boys and a girl) held hostage including other children were kept in a room filled with blood, fetish items, mortar and multiples pestles, blood stained canes, concoction and more.
When the police ransacked the room, they discovered a bucket in which the children use to defecate as they were not allowed out of the room.
The three children found unconscious have been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Also, the women own a ministry and make charms for business men and politicians.
