Operatives of Anambra state police attached to  3-3 Police Station Nkwelle have rescued 3 children battered beyond recognition from a room filled with fetish items where they were held hostage in Anambra state.

As per media reports, the police arrested 2 women identified as Rejoice Raymond, 39, and Chidi Felicia Nwafor, 80, who held the children hostage at NO.13 Akunwanta Mbamalu Street, Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Nkwelle Ezunaka, Anambra state.

It was gathered that the 3 children (2 boys and a girl) held hostage including other children were kept in a room filled with blood, fetish items, mortar and multiples pestles, blood stained canes, concoction and more.

When the police ransacked the room, they discovered a bucket in which the children use to defecate as they were not allowed out of the room.

The three children found unconscious have been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

Also, the women own a ministry and make charms for business men and politicians.

However, Commissioner of Police CP Monday Bala Kuryas has ordered a investigation into the matter.
