Christian Pulisic is the latest Chelsea player to speak out about the club’s troubles.
According to the 23-year-old, he does not have the opportunity to play in the positions he desires.
Under Thomas Tuchel, Pulisic has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge.
Since his arrival at the club in 2019, the American winger has also battled injuries.
Pulisic is now on international duty, preparing for a three-match 2022 World Cup qualifying series that begins on Friday against El Salvador.
“When I arrive at the national team, it’s “How are things with Chelsea?”,” he told NBC Sports.
“I haven’t always been playing in the positions I want to play in. But I think it is a good quality to be versatile and able to play in all kinds of positions and have different strengths on the pitch,” the American noted.
Pulisic was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s past two league games after appearing in six consecutive games in a variety of positions over the festive break.
After Romelu Lukaku attacked Tuchel’s methods and stated he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge, he made these remarks.
