Nigerian singer, Buju BNXN has revealed that he received his music education from Burna Boy.
He disclosed this in an exclusive chat with Joey Akan’s first episode of Season 2 Podcast.
He said, “I received music education from Burna Boy.
Signing to him for a year wasn’t just a business decision for him. It was a chance to soak up expertise and creative spirit from Burna from close range.”
In another exclusive interview with Punch Newspaper, Buju BNXN revealed his love for music started at this young age.
He said, “Music has been deep rooted for me since I was a child. Since I was 11-year-old, I’ve been writing rhymes, rapping, singing tenor at the school choir, valedictory services, choir ministrations.
“And for some reason I knew the lyrics to almost every Nigerian song at the time so far I liked them. There was something about music that just made me light up every time.
“As for obstacles, we face them in every aspect of our lives and music isn’t any different, from resources to recording, putting it out, requesting support from friends and strangers just to make sure you’re heard isn’t easy but if you want it, you have to want it really bad.”
