I still wear trousers, makeup because it doesn’t affect my faith in God – Gospel singer Chidinma Ekile

Nigerian secular singer cum gospel singer, Chidinma Ekile has explained why she still wears trousers, and makeup despite quitting the secular music industry.

The 31 years old singer made this known to the public in an exclusive chat with acclaimed entertainment journalist, Joey Akan, at EeZee Conceptz studios.

In the interview, Chidinma Ekile talked about her journey as a gospel artist one year after, her future plans, and so much more.

When asked about her personal branding in the gospel music industry.

Chidinma Ekile said that she has seen a lot of critics who condemned her mode of dressing as a gospel artist but she hasn’t gotten a conviction to stop wearing makeup and trouser.

She said, ” I started expressing myself with how I look and I got a lot, like ohhh why is she still wearing earrings, makeups, trousers, and all of that.

“I know that some people get convinced not to do a lot of things and some people are not comfortable with that.

“Some say it is not their conviction to do all of that but I did not get that as part of my own conviction.

“Because it doesn’t affect my faith in God in any way. It doesn’t affect how I relate with God.”

The Daily Page recalls when an evangelist named Edet berated the artiste for not changing her dressing style despite her claim of being born again after quitting secular music.

Davido says he is Igbo by tribe

David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.

The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”

Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”

I Told Jarvis to Reject ₦3 Billion Netflix Role Over Kissing Scene – Peller Claims

Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.

Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.

Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”

Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”

Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”

Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.

Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
