President Muhammadu Buhari has on Wednesday, December 16th, ordered the immediate reopening of Nigeria’s four land borders which include Seme, Illela, Maigatari and Mfun.
This directive was made public by the Minister of Finance at the end of the virtual Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting held today.
Recall that the Nigerian government had closed the country’s border since August 2019 in order to curb illegal importation of drugs, foreign rice, and agricultural products into the country.
Also, a tweet from the presidency Nigeria on Twitter also confirmed the reopening of Nigeria’s border.
