Linda Ikeji says her son will continue to bear her surname
Nigerian celebrity blogger, Linda Ikeji has debunked the rumours of her changing her son Jayce’s surname.
Recall that the Daily Page reported that the blogger posted a photo of her son with his cousin Ryan. In the caption, Linda Ikeji referred to her son by her last name, Ikeji, implying that she had changed her son’s surname from that of her baby daddy, Sholaye Jeremi.
In the most recent update, Linda Ikeji refuted the allegations, stating that her last name has always been her son’s. She also said that when he reaches adulthood, he will be free to change it.
On her Instagram story, Linda Ikeji wrote: “Just to be clear. I’ve never ever had to change my son’s surname.
“He’s been an Ikeji right from when he was born! Where do I have the time or patience to be changing names?
“Changing it and keeping his surname (Ikeji) will be up to him when he ages. Food for my Junior colleagues”.
David Adeleke, the Afrobeats performer known as Davido, said he is Igbo by blood. The singer shot back at someone who warned him about being friendly with Igbo people, saying he could worry about betrayal as a Yoruba man.
The X user, Yakbel, said: “Davido just dey carry Ibo full body, until when dem betray am before e rest. Yoruba boy dey frolick with Ibos in 2025, they want your head and everything you have to belong to them. You can never satisfy Ibos. Ibos are not people you surround yourself with as a Yoruba man.”
Davido overlooked the criticism and just replied:
“Lol. My ancestors are from the Igbo people.”
Nigerian online streamer, Habeeb Hamzat popularly known as Peller has revealed he convinced his girlfriend, Jarvis, to turn down a ₦3 billion offer from Netflix since it required her to kiss someone during the show.
Peller mentioned this during a livestream with Peter Okoye from P-Square.
Peller said, “Netflix offered 3 billion Naira my girlfriend, Jarvis to do a kissing scene, but I turned it down.”
Peter asked, “Do you mean N3 million or N3 billion?”
Peller replied, “N3 billion! I know you might not believe me, but I have the record of the video call. I warned them never to contemplate such ever again. I love my baby. I don’t joke with my baby. She is my life.”
Peter added, “Always look out for her.”

Nigerian actor, Charles Okocha has paid a heartwarming visit to legendary actor Kanayo Kanayo ahead of his upcoming wedding.
Charles visited Kanayo to bring his wedding invitation to him in person. In the video shared by Kanayo, Okocha described him as a man who influenced his acting career greatly and, therefore called him his family and role model.
