Mercy Aigbe was born on the 1st of January, 1978. Although born in Edo state where she hails from, she was brought up in Lagos.

She is the second child of five children.

Mercy Aigbe completed her primary school in Lagos and then proceeded to Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School, Ikeja, Lagos.

After her First School Leaving Certificate, she got a National Diploma in Financial studies from Ibadan polytechnic, Ibadan. For her love for acting, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in theatre arts from Lagos State University, Lagos.
