Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has said that Nigeria is not a producing country and is suffering from bad leadership.
He made this known to the public on Tuesday, June 28, during a visit to the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Abuja.
Peter Obi urged the country to change from being a consumption country to a production country, adding that citizens are not receiving the best from the ruling class.
He said, “Nigeria is not a producing country. The cumulative effect of what we are suffering today is bad leadership.
“It is a leadership that concentrates on sharing. We have to move from sharing formula to production formula. All our young people in their productive age are not doing anything, so we will have a crisis.”
